Laptop design & children

15 December 2006 2 views No Comment

I really wish laptop designers would’t make power buttons so darn easy to find. I don’t know how many times one of the kids has decided to push the biggest and most obvious button, usually when we’re right in the middle of Something Important. I never thought I’d be nostalgic for the days that you had to reach behind a computer to turn it on. Of course, if the laptop’s on your laptop, maybe an obvious button on the back would be a bad idea. I’d be happy for some sort of mind control instead.

Then again, I’m probably not inclined to have any sort of mind control since my telepathic commands for stuff like ‘Eat your dinner’ and ‘Don’t scare the cats’ seem to be ineffective.
