The glasses

my broke-ass glasses

Here are my glasses.  The arms aren’t supposed to be spread outlike that - the frames had some nifty mechanism to keep them in place, which was great.  Until they broke, of course.  The arms then cost $75 to replace.  The frame, I presume, was pretty expensive.  They’re ‘Hugo Boss,’ some overpriced fashion victimizer, but I got them for free as I traded a wool overcoat for them.  My friend whose glasses they were got them for free from his vision plan.

The arms have been broken for awhile, so they tend to slip off from time to time.  Since my prescription hadn’t changed, I still had 20/20 vision when I was tested last week.  Obviously, the fit doesn’t have to be perfect as long as the prescription and pupillary distance (PD) are right.  I’m going to measure the width of the frames and use that as a baseline for my online shopping.  I’ve been too busy this week to do any proper shopping and ordering but hopefully later I can get Trish to measure my PD and take a picture of my face for virtual fitting purposes.
