Clinton was impeached for a LOT less
Lying about an affair vs actual constitutional abuse? There’s no comparison. If Clinton was impeached for that, Bush needs to be impeached NOW. Bill Moyers quotes a statistic that 45% of Americans (in a poll, of course) favor impeaching him. Cheney clocks in at 54% (no doubt due to those two little horns on his head that used to be visible only to liberals). An excerpt from Moyers’ show last week looks back on the Clinton impeachment proceedings:
The arguments used by the Republicans who favored impeachment sound so incredibly excessive when compared to the leniency that Bush has faced. I recommend going to the original blog entry that brought this to my attention and reading the excerpts from Moyer’s two guests for the show, a liberal and a conservative, both arguing for impeachment:

Interesting blog, thanks for bringing it up. I agree, we need to get Bush out of office before any more harm is done. It not like he really cares what Americans think, he can’t be reelected so he doesn’t have to try anymore.
Change can’t come soon enough. I think leaving Iraq asap, regardless of whether their so-called goverment can handle things, is necessary. I knew when it began that Islamic extremists would use it as a rallying point, and still think that staying there gives them more fuel than leaving. Though Iraq will be in shambles, it’s a lot easier to blame someone when you see them all the time. There is no reason for American citizens to keep dying there - at least no good reason.
After a few months to a year of exiting, Iraq would cease to be a rallying point since they’ll probably devolve into constant sectarian squabbling. If terrorists still complain about the US then perhaps we can tell them ‘STFU and think of ways to help.’
