El Mundo de Serpientes

So we headed over to the World of Snakes in Grecia. We were partly driving around just to see some of the towns in the Central Valley in order to get some idea of which ones we might like to live in. The World of Snakes was a nice place to bring the kids along the way…a way to break up the road trips.

If I had to rate the World of Snakes, I’d probably give it a B-. The snakes were interesting, but all behind glass, of course. In their marketing they make a point to always mention that you will have opportunites to hold harmless snakes. But I found it disappointing that they only let us hold one of the snakes. When we asked about it, they told us that there was only one available to be held. For the money spent, I would have likes a few more opportunities to interact.

The other complaint that I have is that the guide that walks you around and describes the snakes was in a real rush, and clearly just wanted to get it done and be finished with us. She also told us information in an incredibly robotic way. Irritating. The bright side of the day was the incredibly attractive male guide that was walking around with the other group that was there at the same time as us. He was throwing me looks left and right.

I told Arp that maybe he shouldn’t bring me here to live.

Arp: You mean because of the snakes?

Me: No, because of the snake-man. ;-)
