If you ever get the chance to shave while sitting outside on top of an old toilet, I’d recommend taking it.

Do you know how long it took to pick out the doll that went with this cake?  I was in the doll aisle at Target, and I swear!  Almost every doll was just oozing sexuality.  Humongous boobs, Top Model this or that, or makeup and clothes that reminded me of prostitutes.  What ever happened to regular dolls?  The doll I finally picked was from the Dora The Explorer line.  Pretty cute, although a tiny bit too tall for the bundt cake.  Oh well.  I call this cake,”The Butterfly Witch”.  I made it for J’s birthday.  She likes spooky things, so I was originally going to make her a spooky witch.  But she found the idea of spiders on her cake to be a little alarming.  When I saw the package of butterflies, I decided to re-fashion the witch.  I was pretty happy with the cake.  I made a pound cake using a ton of our duck eggs, and the frosting is my Nana’s special fudgy frosting.  The pink stuff is nasty stuff from a can.  The butterflies are plastic.  Funny thing is that my relatives are always amazed by my cakes.  I mean totally amazed.  It’s kind of funny how easily impressed they are.  I mean, it’s a package of plastic  bugs, a doll, a can of corn syrup, and a pound cake.  Fun, but not exactly impressive.  Still, J loved it, and that is what counts.
