Sarah,
Let me know if you ever need breastfeeding support in the future. I'll be there for you! Good support can make such a difference!

I meant YEAR of Liquid Gold, not years. I just remembered too, reading about your LaLeche meetings, how I did it all on my own and at one point the pain was so unbearable it was necessary to bite down on a folded washrag during latch-on to avoid screaming. Very worth it but it sure dudn't feel natural, and if there is a next time I sure hope to find the proper support instead is suffering through the first 3 weeks in agony!

I don't remember everywhere I breastfed but certain places do stand out in my memory:

On airplanes
Restaurants, from Olive Garden to fancy
Lots of bathroom stalls in various places in the beginning when I was shy about it (guess that doesn't count as public, really)
Lots of dressing rooms (actually pretty comfy, and much better than a hard bench or bathroom stall)
Interstate 80 while hubby drove from Boise to Albuquerque and baby was in the carseat. Those were tricky, but we managed, and the interstate was usually empty tho I'm sure a truckdriver or two got an interesting eyeful
Family gatherings
Parks

That's all I have time to think of. I nursed both babes for a year and it was a beautiful experience. I just had NO libido during that time so that's why I didn't go longer, but my kids are just so wonderfully healthy and I credit that years of Liquid Gold, co-sleeping, no vaxes and never a drop of antibiotics for that. Oh, and healthy diet during pregnancy.;)
