Inspiration from Napoleon

Death is nothing.  But to live defeated and inglorious is to die daily.

I’m sure he’s talking about wars and battles, but it reminds of the faces I saw every day when I used to commute via subway in NYC.  That was inspiration to make changes, but the change that happened – moving to the ‘burbs – just meant I commuted in a cocoon (ie car) and was still unwittingly trapped.  I’ll have to read up a bit more on Napoleon’s military strategy and see if I can find some more good quotes.
