There are two great things in this picture – a picture of my new accomplishment (knitting a tube with a set of 5 double-pointed needles) and a boobie-grab from M, my still-nursing 4 year old. Gotta love a good boobie-grab!

Just ’cause something is called a children’s movie doesn’t make it automatically appropriate in my book. There’s a big difference between something like Finding Nemo and Robots, between something that is wholesome entertainment and one that is a needlessly crass. kids-in-mind can help decide whether a movie is appropriate for your kids or not.

A few week back, I wrote here about a report by Consumer Reports on infant carseat failures. I, along with many others, was suspicious about the report. Turns out I was right to be suspicious. Consumer Reports has now withdrawn their infant car seat report. Maybe they should stick to washing machines and leave the carseats to the experts.

We got him pull-ups for night-time – pink trimmed, Dora the Explorer pull-ups. This may well turn him gay – I’ve heard quite reliable reports from all across America that anything remotely feminine will turn a growing boy gay.
